Smart search with #
Updated
While you write a note, # opens a search of medications and diagnoses, so names are spelled right and carry their code.
Who can use it: professionals at the patient's clinic, on every plan.
Step by step
- In the note editor, type # and the first letters, for example
#amox. - Suggestions appear under All, Medications or Diagnoses.
- Move with the arrow keys and press Enter, or select the suggestion. It's inserted into the text.

If it's not on the list
At the end of the suggestions, select Add as a new medication (or diagnosis). Enter the name and, optionally, the generic name, presentation, category and a description. Select Save and insert: it's added to the clinic's medical database for next time.
Good to know
- Suggestions come from the clinic's Medical Database (see Medical database), where you can edit or deactivate entries.
- Diagnoses use ICD-10 codes.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No suggestions appear | Type at least one letter after #. If there are no results, add the entry. |
| A medication stopped appearing | It may be deactivated in Settings → Medical Database. |
