The patient list
Updated
Patients shows every patient at the selected clinic.
Who can use it: professionals, administrators and owners. Staff don't have access to patients.
Step by step
- In the sidebar, select Patients.
- The totals are at the top: patients, active, inactive, insured, with allergies and with WhatsApp opt-in.
- Search by name, ID number or email. Accents don't matter: "maria gomez" finds "María Gómez".
- Filter by All, Active or Inactive.
- On each row:
- View opens the chart (see The patient chart).
- Edit changes their details.

Deactivate or delete a patient
- Deactivating is the right choice when you no longer see someone: in Edit, turn off Active. The patient stops counting as active and all their records are kept.
- Delete (the bin) is only shown to administrators and the owner, and only works for patients with no appointments or clinical record, such as a duplicate added by mistake. If the patient has records, MedPragma offers to deactivate them instead: clinical records must be kept.
Good to know
- Your plan has an active patient limit (Free: 150, Solo: 1,000, Growth: 6,000, Pro: 25,000). Deactivating patients frees space.
- To add many patients at once, see Import patients.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| You can't find a patient | Check the clinic selected in the top bar, and the Active / Inactive filter. |
| There's no bin to delete | Only administrators and the owner see it. To stop seeing someone, deactivate them. |
| "…has appointments or a clinical record, which must be kept" | It can't be deleted. Select Deactivate patient. |
