Edit an appointment

Updated

Use Edit to correct any detail of a booked appointment.

Who can use it: staff, professionals, administrators and owners, on every plan.

Step by step

  1. In Appointments, find the appointment and select Edit (the pencil).
  2. Change what you need:
    • Appointment Type: In Person or Telemedicine.
    • Date & Time: the day, Start Time and End Time.
    • Status: for example Confirmed, Completed, Cancelled or No Show.
    • Payment Status: Not Paid, Receipt Under Review, Paid, Prepaid, Payment Rejected or Refunded.
    • Details: Reason / Chief Complaint and Internal Notes (only the team sees them).
  3. Select Save Changes.

Important

  • Changing the date or time doesn't check that the slot is free, and the patient isn't notified automatically. Check the schedule and let the patient know.
  • If you change the status to Cancelled, the patient does get the cancellation notice with a link to choose another time (see Complete, cancel or mark a no-show).
  • If the appointment is already in a final state (completed, cancelled or rejected), the app warns that changing it may have side effects. Only do it to fix a mistake.
  • If you use Google Calendar, the event updates on its own.
  • Telemedicine shows a lock if your plan doesn't include it.
