API keys

An API key lets another system (your clinic's, for example) use MedPragma on behalf of your account.

Who can use it: only the account owner. A key can carry owner-level permissions, so nobody else creates or sees them.

Create a key

  1. Go to Settings → API Keys and select New API Key.
  2. Give it a Name that says what it's for.
  3. Choose the Scope: what the key can do. Choose only what's needed.
  4. Save and copy the key with Copy API key. Treat it like a password: whoever has it can use your account.

Change or remove a key

  • Edit changes the name or scope.
  • Revoke deactivates it instantly. Delete removes it.

Good to know

  • If a key leaked, revoke it and create another.
  • Review the list now and then, and delete keys you no longer use.
